I experienced a freeze (where the program never responds again) while using
ctrl-shift-f Formatting. The line was long, and it got pushed too far left
into column 6. Like a dope, I did it again and it never came back. Had to
end it forcefully and restart RDi.

I regularly experience what I'll call "service interruptions" due to RDi
being "really busy" I suppose. It usually lasts 1-3 minutes of the
spinning swirly/dimmed window, but usually DOES return to me eventually.
During editing, not sure what I do to cause it; I never use the verifier
(wish I could disable it) and I don't filter source or anything like that,
just typing mostly.

What I have experienced (even in RDi 9.1) is a freeze where the product
wouldn't do anything, however there was an "Initializing Projects" message
in the lower right area of the product. That would sometimes last for
quite a few minutes before anything else could be done. This is even when
I check the "Always run in background" option under Windows, Preferences,
General.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi 9.5 freezing

Dear group,

Has anybody experienced random freezes of RDi 9.5?

I'm running the trial version (our BP seems to have forgotten to register
us for SWMA but is looking into it) on Win7 Enterprise, and it randomly
stops responding.

It happens maybe every other day, usually during a copy/paste operation.

Last time I allowed it to wait for over 30 minutes, but nothing happened.

The only solution is to force close RDi. When I start it again, I get a
message about pending changes, but they seem to have been lost, reverting
me back to the last saved version.

Met vriendelijke groeten / Best regards,
