One of the 2 ZIP files finished 24 minutes ago = remember, I started somewhere around 8:30 am.

This is through FileZilla, which allows multiple downloads at one time. I have enough bandwidth.

I was seeing many restarts or continuations - I'd see that the transfer was active for 8 minutes even though the amount transferred was 500meg.

The 2nd one has another 200meg to go - this is pathetic!!

I think everyone in your shop could do his/her own updates using the service repositories and you'd be time ahead!

Time to go home and watch this grass grow verrrrry slowly here in the upper Midwest!

I consistently find that IBM's download sites are among the slowest in the business. I generally have good download speeds but any download from the Rational sites takes forever.

I can see 10 minutes if you are using the Installation Manager and going
out to the repository on IBM's site.

Downloading the ZIP files, well, I started it this morning - they appear
to half done now for the 2 - and that' like 7 hours - my download
bandwidth is REALLY wide!

I have seen the 10 minute thing when doing the update as I described.

Thank you for that information. IBM said it should take no more than 10 minutes to download, and since it is taking so long on my PC, they are thinking that the problem is with my PC. However, based on the other responses, the lengthy download times are not just specific to my PC. I also stopped it and restarted it. But I did not get the message asking if I wanted to delete the prior files and start all over again.
