Cool, but I was actually thinking about the Replace field...
(In other applications it is usually called the "Replace with" for the label)

So, when I tab to the "Replace-with" field, that is highlight, like most other editors. Like Visual Studio, NotePad++, and even Microsoft's Notepad!

When you tap over to "Replace-with" the whole field is high-lighted. Every other Editor seems to do this...

I normally do Shift+End to high the "Replace with" field. But, why should I? Every other replace works that way ALREADY! <grin>

It is beyond me, why Eclipse/RDi/RDP doesn't do that...

Not a biggie, just one of those things, why is RDI/RDP different from other IDE/Editors... <grin>

Once again, just like consistency...
:)

Try entering the following in the editor command line:

- set commandClass.matches com.ibm.lpex.samples.MatchesCommand
- matches {text}

Where {text} is the variable you want to highlight.

I haven't tried binding it as a User Key Action or User Mouse Action, but it does exactly what you're asking--just not by simply double-clicking on the desired variable.

[WDSCI-L] High Variables in LPEX like Text Editor.

Hi,

If you use Eclipse for Java, and double-click a variable, all
occurrences of that variable are highlighted. As do many other IDE,
like Visual Studio. And also my favorite text editor: Notepad++. <Joy

I wonder why LPEX cannot duplicate this behavior. After all of the
source is downloaded to the local PC anyway.

Just thought I would ask...

This is definitely not a "MUST HAVE", just one of those things that
would "nice"...
<grin>

Just wondering... No Biggie!
