Hello Luke,

I was using Client Access(CA) for quite some years until I located TN5250j
(TN). I've stopped using Client Access ever since. The only problem I've
faced with TN is that it hangs quite frequently & I have to kill & restart
the session. I've had absolutely no issues regarding response time which
is exactly the same that I have for CA.

I like the fact that I am able to change the fonts in TN (which I am
unable to do in CA & I just cannot find out why the font option is visible
but not available !) I also like the setup of connectivity in TN where you
have tabs to connect to various systems & not separate sessions as in CA.

I love TN even if there are no more enhancements though I would love to
see more - like for instance a long line 'pasted' in SEU will overwrite
the line numbers !!

[WDSCI-L] Major speed problem with TN5250J

I can type one key and wait nearly two seconds for it to appear
on-screen in the emulator. I think I tried last week to make the
emulator window smaller, which seemed to help a bit...but still it was
not nearly as responsive as iSeries Access from IBM. I truly wish it was.

Is anyone else having this issue? Any ideas? I have a P4 2.4GHz system
w/ 2 GB RAM, so I imagine that I should be able to get better
performance than just two seconds per keystroke. >_<

Thanks!
