In version WDSC 7 (and RDI 7.1), you can
1) Display your list of members in the 'Object Table' (that's in RDi
7.1--iSeries Table View in WDSC 7).
2) Click on the drop-down menu (the little triangle on the top of the
'Object Table' view and select 'Print...'.
3) Select the 'Generic / Text Only' driver. (Install it if it isn't
installed already.)
4) Configure it to print to the 'File:' port.

Happy printing.
You may need to configure it to print Landscape--depending on what columns
you display. Other printer drivers may work, but I've found the 'Generic
/ Text Only' to work really well for this kind of work.

Subject:

[WDSCI-L] Object list to Excel

Before I tried to do most things in RSE , I would select a list of
programs in PDM and use F21 to create a list. With several ways I
can get a text file from that and import into Excel to create a
spreadsheet for a task list for a file change or set of program
changes. I then use the spreadsheet as a check list to make sure I
don't forget something.

Does anyone know a way to get from a list or table in RSE to a
spreadsheet or to a text file?

At this point, I have an RSE filter of objects in the test library
but don't see how to get from there to excel like I can with PDM.

Thanks for any help,

Dave B
