Normally IM should not prompt for any CD. But if there's something wrong
with the network so that
IM cann't find the files (V7.0) from the update site it then asks for a
CD.

Pls note that the update site contains these:
1. The "not required" files of V7.0 (i.e., these files may or may not be
installed on you machine, depends on
the selected items to install). In other words, the "required" files have
been installed on your machine;
2. 7001 update delta;
3. 7002 update delta;
4. the the ZIP file of the deltas.

When applying any delta, for any dependent files that are not in the delta
or installed on the machine, IM will try to
get them from item 1 above. If IM cann't get them for any reason, it
prompt for CDs.

Thanks.

[WDSCI-L] Why did Fix Pack 2 (7.0.0.2) Ask for the CDs?

When installing the fix pack from the Installation Manager (Update
Packages - Update all) for both my packages (full and "lite" version), the

Installation Manager requested Disk 1. Of course I was at home updating
it
when it wouldn't interfere with my development time. Fix pack 1 didn't
request a disk when I installed it from home.

Is this normal? Should I be updating each package separately? Am I doing

something wrong?

Thanks,
MQueue
