Interesting. The IBM JRE 1.5.xx is not separately installable because of an agreement with Sun (as far as I can tell from reading).

So, I'll see if I can re-install WDSc 7.0 AE, this time using the included Eclipse Runtime and the IBM JVM that comes with it and see if I can install my plugins into WDSc 7.0. I was hoping to keep the Eclipse runtime as a separately installed item but it looks like IBM has made that impossible if you want to use all the optional components of WDSc. Most likely though, my plugins won't like the IBM JRE or won't be able to find the Eclipse runtime in WDSc.

Let's give it a whirl.  Nothing to lose but time and disk space.
