If there us no such preference for COBOL files, you could try a 'low-level' setting from the LPEX command line:

  fields 1 73 81

Problem is that you'll have to enter this for every new COBOL file you open (or retrieve the command via arrow up/down on the LPEX command line). (Or write your own user profile, based on Eric's articles, as mentioned long ago in this newsgroup...) [PS A future LPEX release will define this as a COBOL parser property, so you'll only have to set it once.]

Does it work for Cobol sources too ?
It seems to work only for RPG or DDS.

Is there a way to have this function for Cobol colums 73-80 ?
