I tried installed wdsci 5.0 on my home pc (XP Home) and can no longer
connect to my home router or directly to my cable modem. I tried plugging
the cable modem into my linux pc and it works fine. On the XP Home machine
everything looks ok--the traffic leds light up on the network card and
Device Mangler tells me my network card is working. My vpn software (oddly
enough <g>) doesn't work. The dialer tells me it's missing a "component,"
which leads me to believe it's a software issue.

Other than that, the install went flawlessly--didn't have to restart at all
and everything was there. When I tried to get the service pack I noticed
the problem. Has anyone else seen something like this?
