a couple of LPEX questions

Say I have a program that I'm working on through RSE.  I do a verify and
end up with some errors.  I click on the error in the error list box and
it takes me to the error.  I like this.  However, it brings in all the
errors and i can't get rid of them other than closing the member and
reopening it.  Is there a simple way to remove these errors from the
source.  
 
i'm trying to convert to free form.  The program already exists, so i
want to convert it.  I open the member with Code and select 'Convert all
to free form'.  I save and close and then reopen with LPEX.  It returns
to its original form.  What am i not doing correctly?
