Hello Mark,

For Linq to be able to talk to a database, you need a specific provider for that type of database.
As far as i know, there is no provider for db2.
Here's a list i found: http://blogs.msdn.com/charlie/archive/2008/02/28/link-to-everything-a-list-of-linq-providers.aspx

Linq is part of the framework 3.5 extension so you will need that on top of .net framework 2.0

best regards,
walter

Subject: [SystemiDotNet] Linq with the I

I have been asked by the powers that be to determine what it would
take to talk to an iSeries database from .NET using LINQ. Is there
special software required? A version of the .net framework?

Thanks,

Mark
