When I was upgrading to V5R1 I considered testing System 21 on another box.
I decided not to because Geac assured us there were no issues with our
version of System 21 (3.5.2b)was compatible with V5R1. We don't use any of
the GUI apps so we didn't have that to consider. We have been live on V5R1
since September and there are no problems.
If you are using green on black there will be no problems unless you have
something really, really funky going on in your apps.

Subject: [SYSTEM21] Upgrade question

List:

We will soon be upgrading memory and DASD of our 820, processor will be the
same, and we will also be upgrading to V5R1. My question is, if i wanted to
test in another box just to be safe side, i'd have to get temporary
authorization codes for that test box? Meaning there is no way the aps will
run using the authorization codes of the live box? Thanks in advance and
merry christmas to all!!

Mona
