Hi there,

Has anyone ever had problems using Client Access to get data out of an
AS400
and into an access database?

Microsoft Access // ODBC Error.

We attempted to import data to a Microsoft Access database using an ODBC
connection via the AS/400 Client software. However, the following error was
encountered:

ODBC - Call Failed,

[IBM}[Client Access ODBC Driver (32 bit)][DB2/400 SQL]PWS006 - Value for
Parameter is not valid. (# -235)

A number of versions of the AS/400 client were used the most recent being
V3. Rel 1. Mod 3.

We tried Machine, System and File DSN as part of the ODBC configuration but
none were successful.

The error is encountered when attempting to Link or import a table (using
MS
Access) from select Libraries on the AS 400. The tables from the selected
Library are listed as usual on screen but when the import or link button is
clicked the error is displayed.

Using the same driver with different Libraries works fine.

Any and all suggestions welcome.
