We currently use transcriptional order entry and want to move to conversational
for obvious reasons. We batch allocate overnight after all put away
transactions have been done and then run pickers. If goods are allocated during
the day before put away in warehousing then picks come off with "no location"
causing extra work in the warehouse. Clearly if we move to conversational order
entry with on the fly allocation the number of no location picks will rise
dramatically.

Because we use (relatively) fixed locations in the warehouse I am proposing as
a solution to cease use of warehousing and just rely on features within
inventory.

Any views, advice, tales of woe gratefully accepted !
