INFO put it up as if it were a break message. STATUS caused it to flash momentarily and disappear. DIAG and COMP didn't do anything visible.
I took the opportunity to create a test bed — I really should do this more often. Maybe this is a good idea for others, too?

Nothing fancy. Pressing F10 displays the message. Expand with a windows yourself and test. :-)
Dunno what I did wrong in my other tries. Now I have something to glean from.
