Are you getting a compiler or a RLU edit error?
I don't use RLU - just SEU - and have many printer files with variable
fonts, with field lengths more than the record length, is type is *AFPDS.

I don't want to change the page width due to all the ramifications... I've
got logos/boxes/lines, etc. and we create PDFs with this document in
addition to printing it.
I don't want to split this into two lines because I only have 1 line at the
very bottom to use. It's going to contain a URL for Certification of
Compliance link.

Just seems silly to me that the compiler doesn't allow this when the font is
1/2 the size of everything else.

Could you not split the field into 2 80 character fields and print the 1st
80 on the first line and the 2nd 80 on the net OR If possible Find a space
in the text near character 80 (on either side) and split the text that way

Is there any way to define a field that is longer than a print file is wide?

Case in point.. I have a printer file that is 100 positions wide. I added a
field using a variable width font (i.e. fine print at the bottom of the
document). When filled, the field data goes about 60% across the page.
Because of the font size, I could easily make this field 160, but RLU won't
allow it.

Any way around this?
