With only five conditions to test, anything other than a select group comes across as overly pedantic; even academic. With an interpreted language you might save a couple lines of code by pulling conditions from an array or something, but anything like that would just make the code harder to follow.

Subject: Design Question

I have a file with the following fields: Condition, Value, Override
The condition can be : LT, LE,EQ,GT,GE
I will be testing a field to determine if the contents meet the condition.
If so, then the override applies.
Other than hard coding each of the conditions in a select group and then
doing the appropriate test, is there a simpler method that I am missing?

Thanks,
