Hi Jeff,

I don't see anything wrong in the code you posted. If the open() API failed with an error, FileDs would be -1. (0 is a perfectly valid descriptor)

If nothing is being written, there's likely an error elsewhere in your code.

All,
I have the following code:

FileDs = Open(%Trim(IFS_File_Name) // Path & File Nmae

: O_CREAT + // Create File

O_WRONLY + // Write Only

O_CCSID + // Use Code Page

O_TEXTDATA + // Text Data

O_TEXT_CREAT + // Create File

O_INHERITMODE // Inherit Mode

: 0 // Inherit Authority

: 1252 // PC CCSID

: 0 // Text Create CCSID

);

p_ErrNo = sys_errno;

p_Msg = strerror (errno);
The file specified in IFS_File_Name did not exist prior to the Open, and
was created after.
The varue for Errno which is based on p_ErrNo is 0.
The value for FileDS is 0.

Since the FileDs value is 0, all of my Write statements complete with no
error, but no data is written.

What am I missing?

Thanks,
