Hi,

This is some code to read a file and copy the row to create a new one.
I notice that when compiling, the DS obtained from LIKEREC ( MyFormat : *INPUT ) is not the same as LIKEREC ( MyFormat : *OUTPUT ).

Therefore, in the example below, is it safe to use RecordOut = RecordIn or is EVAL-CORR necessary?
Thanks.

FMyFile IF A E K DISK

D RecordIn DS LIKEREC ( MyFormat : *INPUT )
D RecordOut DS LIKEREC ( MyFormat : *OUTPUT )

CHAIN MyKey MyFileCLIREFF1 RecordIn;
RecordOut = RecordIn;
RecordOut.Field1 = 'something else';

WRITE MyFormat RecordOut;
