Just food for thought here, but you might want to leave the second parm in the statement for the following reasons:

- It is self-documenting. If there is a problem with that line of code some day, a future programmer would immediately know that the statement is expecting a date in *ISO format.

- Your code works without specifying parm 2 in the following condition: today, on that machine. Not specifying parm 2 means that the system is using defaults to interpret the value into a date. Some day there might be a need to change a system value or add an H-spec that could cause this line of code to fail. Specifying parm 2 forces the statement to use the date as it is expected in the database. Remember, too, that defaults on other machines might not be what you expect. Of course, if you can guarantee that the code will only run on this one machine, then...never mind.
