Scott,

I am already setting that flag and either way with 'IS' or 'is' it still
returns that it failed to find a match.

D REG_EXTENDED C 1
D REG_ICASE C 2
D REG_NOSUB C 8

cflags = REG_EXTENDED + REG_ICASE + REG_NOSUB;
rc=regcomp(preg:%trim(RegexString):cflags);

Hi Matt,

The program returns "regexec() failed with: regexec() failed to find a
match" when I pass it inputString="This is a test" and regexString="IS".

By default, a regular expression will be case-sensitive. So indeed, 'IS'
should NOT match 'This is'.

You can specify the REG_ICASE flag if you want it to be case-insensitive.
