Are the programs being run in separate jobs? If so, I'm not sure you can do this since the spool file is associated with the job.

This does beg the question: What are you trying to accomplish? Maybe there is a better way to do what you want.

Sorry, I meant to add that part to my initial email. I tried doing an override of the print file with a SHARE(*YES) and a USROPN in both RPG programs. I did not close the print file on the first program but it still created two spooled files. I also tried opening with a scope of *JOB and got the same results.
