Even the best garbage collection algorithm(s) can not beat a well informed programmer.
Code a system that any fool can use, and only a fool will use it. Allegory(?): Any fool can code a system that a fool will use.

regarding the future viability of RPG, I think a language has to have
garbage collection and built in object reference tracking ( which
enables the garbage collector to know when the object can be freed ).
Check out this video to see how collection handling has been enhanced
in C# the last few years. You cant do what you see in the video
without GC and reference tracking.
