Or, you can always put in a command wrapper - the command itself can pass in
the default value to the CL. Something like this (the second parameter is
optional and will pass '001' to the CL if it's omitted):

CMD PROMPT('Report Submitter')

PARM KWD(REPORT) TYPE(*NAME) MIN(1) MAX(1) +

PGM(*YES) PROMPT('Report Program Name' 1)

PARM KWD(KEYCDE) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(3) DFT(001) +

RANGE(001 999) MIN(0) MAX(1) PROMPT('Key +

Sequence Code' 2)

I don't think that will work, but you can you can always write a short
RPGLE wrapper that checks the value of %PARMS, and class the CL with the
default parameter or the parameter that was passed in.

Not sure if this is possible. We are on V5R3.

I would like to optionally pass a parameter to a CL program. So
interatively
I would CALL AR115CL in batch I would CALL AR115CL PARM('Y').

Is this possible?
