Lori,

Is there a reason why you don't want to use the spool file as text?
Normally I just use CPYSPLF to a flat file, then CPYTOPCD to QDLS, and
then use SNDDST to email it out. You can make a CL that does all of that
and just pass it the spool file parameters.

subject: Sending a report via e-mail

At a previous job, I was able to send a report via e-mail. I thought we
used the SNDDST command and sent the report directly. At my new job they
use the SNDDST command but they copy it to a text document first and then
send the test document.

I can't remember if we had a package or not. Is there a way to send a
spool
file via e-mail without creating a text document first?

Thanks

Lori
