From: Rory Hewitt Mind you, I'd think it would be pretty easy to draw up a very simple 'contract' which they can sign which simply promises not to attempt to reverse-engineer or decompile the code - you might not need a lawyer to get involved with that, and they'd be hard-pressed to justify not signing it.
This is a good point, Rory. IANAL, but as far as I understand it, the idea is not to make it impossible to crack your code - that can never be done - but instead to make it hard enough that it can't be done accidentally (this proves intent), and then to make sure they sign an agreement saying that they won't.
