How big is the Uu40ic field??

Looks like you are overflowing the max size of 10. Ser2 must have 2
bytes available for the parens. Seems that you actually want

Eval Ser2 = '('+%Trim(Uu40ic)+')'

Thanks,

Subject: Trying to concatenate

List,
I'm trying to put parenthesis around a field for a label I'm
creating. It is to read (.5625"). My code:
D Ser2 S 10 varying
.
.
C Eval Ser2 = '(' + Uu40ic + ')'

It puts the left paren in, but not the right. What am I doing wrong? I
put it in debug and stop right after the eval statement and sure enough,
Ser2 is (.5625"

TIA
