Bob,

Actually I'm saying that my 850MHz Athlon at home ran rings around the
1.6GHz P4 I have at work when it came to developing in WDSCi.

Not just simply testing either. 8+ hours of coding with WDSCi, multiple
CA 5250 sessions running, Adobe Acrobat running with the SQL and RPG
reference manuals at minimum. iSeries Navigator and "Run SQL Scripts"
open. In addition to having Word and/or Excel/Visio open with various
spec documents. Usually with Outlook Express opened too.

Believe me Bob, it was quite usable with < 1GB RAM.

Oh yeah, Norton AV was running in the background at home and at work.

Now I'm not talking about the having the Websphere Test environments
running...this is strictly RPG development.

But still quite usable.
