No, that doesn't make sense either. Grasping at straws without putting real 
thought into it. Confusion can do that at times.

Scott:

You used zoned decimal instead of packed. And you are using single-digit 
values. Because the zone bits shift position between zoned and packed numbers 
at the right _AND_ there's only one significant digit, the results might be 
expected.
