As Buck mentions, its probably got to do with where you are at in the call
stack and where you are sending the message to.

When I did this and ran into the same problem, I changed the QMHSNDPM "Call
Stack Entry" parameter to the name of the mainline program and used a "Call
Stack Counter" parm of zero.

I assume that your message subfile is set up to watch the mainline message
queue (either by putting a '*' or the mainline program name in whatever
field has the SFLPGMQ keyword in the display file).  Thus, you want to make
sure you send the entry to the program queue your subfile is watching.
