If you use DSPFD of the affected file, specifying TYPE(*TRG), you can verify
that the trigger is defined correctly, as to before/after,
insert/update/delete.

Thanks for the replies.

The program does exist in the same library with the files, and the library 
list is not being changed. The user has no control since all they have is 
menu access.

I've also run the program in debug mode during testing and the triggers 
always fired when expected to.
