You don't/can't use the 0 on *MDY when using a numeric field.

Subject: Using the Test Opcode in Free Format

I have the following line in my program :

 Test (ED) *MDY0 scrDate ;

And the compiler is giving the following:
"Factor One operand is not valid, defaults to blanks." Pointing out the
left parenthesis.
"A semi-colon is not specified at the end of a free-format specification."
Pointing out the right parenthesis.
"Either the error indicator or the E operation extender must be specified
for the TEST operation."

scrDate is a 6 digit numeric field. We are on V5R2. Is the syntax
incorrect?

Bill
