I am looking for a way in RPGIV to name the indicators of chains since the
indicators in a spaghetti-code program are not tested until much later.

Besides inserting lines using the built-in functions like "VEFOUND = %FOUND;"
is there any other way to rename the actual indicator *IN99 to VEFOUND in the
D-specs? (I have a lot of indicators to go through, so it would be helpful).

I thought I saw Sue Gantner show a way to name indicators like this a few
years ago, but the SEU editor highlights the D subfield of *IN99 with the
message "The Name entry is a reserved word"

 D *IN99
 D VEFOUND

Or is there a way I use the *IN array or a data structure in the D-specs?

Thanks,
