It's strange that everyone seems to ignore the presence (and continued iSeries
support) of the IBM Net.data product?
It's been shipped free as standard for as long as the web came to the iSeries,
it's so easy to learn and maintain, and can just about do anything if you put
your mind to it. Since it provides a simple scripted interface to native
iSeries environments (native pgm calls,SQL,REXX,system cmds and even PERL) it
is an easy an cost free path especially for small shops.

You're right, Bryan. The product from ProfoundLogic is "RPG Smart Pages",
not "RPG Server Pages", and seems like a very similar concept. Code RPG
statements inside of special tags, and let the preprocessor sort it all out.

And while I'm heavily biased towards servlets and JavaServer Pages, this is
a reasonable alternative for small shops that just can't justify the expense
of learning the Java technologies.

Cool!
