You always miss the point, Aaron: I have no problem with new capabilities,
my big problem is with the loss of the old capability, namely the MOVE
instruction.

It doesn't make sense that I should have to lose the capability of MOVE in
order to get the features of free-format, that's all I'm saying.  And I'm
saying that with a little bit of effort, IBM could give us the best of both
worlds.

I have no problem with new features.  I also have no problems with the old
features.  I just hate that the compiler team (and evidentlhy a lot of
people on this list) thinks it's their job to force me to decide between the
two.  And no, mixed-mode is not an acceptable strategic alternative.
