As others have pointed out, you may want to consider using an API such
as QlgConvertCase to provide your casing.  In addition to previously
made comments, you might also keep in mind that toupper() is locale
sensitive so unless you also set an appropriate locale prior to using
toupper() you may not get the casing you are expecting when running
in various environments (a lot of iSeries may have the right CCSID
setting for a job (which can be used by QlgConvertCase), but not the
right locale).
