UDATE is not necessarily today's date.  If you start a job 2002-01-10, let
it run past midnight, then UDATE and *JOB date will remain 2002-01-10.  I
would think long and hard about using UDATE in favour of the TIME opcode.
The RPG manual has good material on date/time operations.
