Not quite sure what you are asking for.

If you simply want to change a few lines of text on a display
file, you might consider loading the data into message files,
and then showing those fields on the screen. You change the
message file text and the screens get updated the next time
they load them. You might want to play with this and see if
this does what you want.

This is one way it has been suggested to be done when someone
wishes to change the signon screen with dynamic text.

Jim Langston

Subject: Inserting Text into subfile

Does anyone have any ideas on how to approach an RPG program that would
allow someone to insert text into a subfile that is then displayed as a
bulletin board when the user signs on? I have created the window that
pops up when the user signs on the menu for our software package.
I am thinking of creating a table that the officer would type into then
pulling that into the subfile along with initial menu screen. Since I am
not too experienced with SFs I was just wondering if there was a better
way to approach this.
TIA

EX: Call SubText
type: Everyone will have a 3 day weekend from now on.

User sees in SF window: Ceo Message Board
                                      Everyone will have a
                                      3 day weekend from
                                      now on.
