820 running V4R5M0 & one cum release behind along with the associated
"group" ptf's also back one set.

I bought the book "SQL at Work" by Howard F.Arner, Jr. from Midrange
Computing & in the last week or so I have been going through it doing the
exercises. The problem I am having is using the included "SQLThing (quote
from the book - "A graphical SQL tool that can be used from Windows 95, 98,
NT, & 2000 to speak SQL to the AS/400"), the tables created are there for
the session & as soon as I close my session down (using SQLThing) the tables
& any changes I made disappear. When I run the same exercises through
STRSQL, all is fine.

What I am looking for is anyone that has the book & has gone through the
exercises to see what I might be doing differently or a way of contacting
the author directly. There was an initial problem & I since have deleted
the e-mail from the author so I do not have his address. I searched the
archives (Search All) & found nothing. Actually 636 "Howard's" were
returned but I could only see the first 100???????

I've sent an e-mail to Midrange Computing but have not yet gotten a response
back - & I'm not real hopeful I will.

Thanks - Dennis.
