RE: record size limit

no, The problem is not the number of records in the file, its the size of 1
single record.  The max is like 32767 characters for 1 record.  thats where
my problem is.  I'm dropping data because i fill up the record.

You can even change the flat file after it was created, and specify
*NOMAX.
