Jon,

I believe PHil he said it didn't work.  His experience of having this scramble 
some 
memory is consistent with my experience.  The old RPG manual example did not 
pass the feedback code, many who followed that example found out the hard way 
that this API scrambled memory at unexpected locations.

The compiler would pass it, but the API wouldn't work - it is expecting a
parameter passed by reference i.e. a pointer will be passed  - having the
VALUE 2 passed will not work.
