Title: RE: Hex to string and vice versa

How about this,... V4R4 http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400/online/v4r4eng.htm

or take your pick from the online library,....

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400/online/homeeng1.htm

Select your OS Ver/Rel,
Select Category bookshelves for VxRx,
Select AD, Languages, and Tools,
Scroll down to the RPG section,... Viola!

If you have the 'ILE RPG for AS/400 Programmer's Guide Version 4' (IBM
publication SC09-2507-01) there is an example of converting data to the hex
value (page 95).  As far as adding the values together, that is one to work
on......you might be able to declare constants with the hex values and add
the constants together...just a thought.  If you do not have the book, let
me know and I can scan it in and send it to you...

Mike
