Okay, let me get this straight, you have an ASCII text file on the PC and you 
want to
convert it to an AS/400 spool file?

How about this:

FTP to AS/400, then CPYF to QSYS/QSYSPRT ?

The other way around, from AS/400 spool file to PC ASCII document:

CPYSPLF to a disk file, FTP to PC.
