Right, *INZSR is executed before 1P time, if *INZSR will compile.  *INZSR 
is a recent addition to the RPG cycle.  Before *INZSR if I had to 
calculate  a field for the first page heading I would condition Heading 
output on 
   C      10N11         SETON           11
   C                    SETON           10
....
   O       H        10N11
....


Which may be the solution that Jim has to use, in the end.
