PCL on its own does not support Barcodes, unless they are help as a built
in font on the printer, one technique to get around this is to download the
font to the printers memory, a company called ProHelp, do a neat little
utility, to achieve this, contact Bo Horne, the web site is
WWW.PROHELP.COM, you just print the barcodes, by switching to the
downloaded font (using embedded PCL commands) and outputting the relevant
characters, then return to standard font.

Subject: PCL commands from RPG

Greetings,

Has anyone ever printed barcodes on a laser printer using PCL? If so where
could I find the commands (esc sequences) to do this?
I need to print 3of9 (seven's friend) on a standard laser.

Your help will shut me up for another 3 months..so there is an incentive
here!

TIA
