to be serious: KO and KQ (there was no *IN-stuff at that time) look quite
the same, especially on old terminals and old matrix printers (with dirty
needles :-), so i assume IBM had the will to protect us.

Or they had the fear that this would lead to non-SAA (although there was no
SAA then :-) quick-and-dirty exit, as KO is the abbrev. for knock out....
