Re: Spool file Attributes

You can specify an INFDS on the printer file to get the attributes on a data
structure.
(I guess you can refer to the manual for the positions).
If the printer file is user-controlled, the attributes are filled in once the
file is opened
in the program.

We normally use this function to distribute the reports to the respective output
queues
(using the CHGSPLFA in a CL program).

Hey Guys,

I have a RPG program which prints two reports.

Is there any way i can get the attributes of the spool files( Spool file
name, job name, user name and job number ) automatically inside my program
itself once the reports are printed.?.

I am automating the process of putting the spool files on the Web once the
program has runned successfully.

Any suggestions please.
