I tend to agree, Barbara, that nested subroutines are
not top priority.  In fact, for all the years I've been programming
in Pascal and C, I don't think I ever actually had to rely on
the nesting of procedures.

I would either pass the parameters, or use global variables.
I would always keep my use of global variables to a minimum,
and I found this to work quite well.

The one thing I would like to see is true functions, such as the %BIFs,
that return a value.

This may already be the case, but I've yet to find out how to code it
(V3R7M0) and is probably just a limitation on my OS version.
