Hans,

What I have been reading about "C" is it is like your option 2. Would it
not be easier to add rpg type opt code function to "C". Then we can all
switch to "C" and RPG could just Die. Don't get me wrong, I love RPG. It
was easy to learn and is easy to read. "C" on the other hand is all based
on functions, which there are lots of in different libraries. I find "C"
difficult to read and follow. Lets keep RPG simple and understandable.
Keep the op codes. My vote is for option 1.

My humble option

So, please consider and choose one of the following options:

1) Make EVAL and CALLP always required:

      CF eval KeepLooping = *ON
      CF dow KeepLooping
      CF    read MasterFile
      CF    if %eof
      CF       callp HandleEndOfFile()
      CF    endif
      CF enddo

2) Allow EVAL and CALLP to be omitted:

      CF KeepLooping = *ON
      CF dow KeepLooping
      CF    read MasterFile
      CF    if %eof
      CF       HandleEndOfFile()
      CF    endif
      CF enddo
Cheers!  Hans
