I agree on the multiplexing front, however, assuming (I know...) that
the user w/the blackberry also has an outlook client somewhere you
already have a CAL for him via the outlook client, no? It's me and me
accessing Exchange -- at least that's my position. :-)

It depends if you're using User CALs or Device CALs.

If you're using User CALs, and you have a person accessing the
Exchange through both Outlook and through BES, you need a single User
CAL.

If you're using Device CALs, and you have a person accessing Exchange
through both Outlook and through BES, you need two Device CALs.
